Technical Requirements For Communication Towers

1) the design and construction of the communication tower shall be closely coordinated with the communication technology to meet its requirements. While determining tower mast height, platform number, antenna specification, quantity, direction, feeder direction, etc., the possibility and convenience of capacity expansion should be fully considered.

(2) the steel tower should be installed at the height of the antenna to maintain the platform. The width of the platform should consider the space requirement of the antenna, and the net width should not be less than 600mm. The fence is required to be firm and reliable, with 50mmX50mmX5mm or more Angle steel to make the fence, and the Angle steel connection between each other is firm. When the height of tower mast is more than 50 meters, it is advisable to add a rest platform in the middle.

(3) the antenna bracket should not be larger than 800mm at the platform edge. If the antenna bracket is larger than 800mm, the antenna bracket should be designed as a scalable movable type.

(4) the steel tower shall be provided with climbing facilities (fixed climbing ladder and climbing nail) leading to the top of the tower, and necessary safety protection shall be considered; The step distance of climbing facilities should be 200-400mm, the width of climbing ladder should not be less than 600mm, and the length of climbing nails should not be less than 110mm. Ladder guardrail should be installed completely, no vacancy is allowed in the middle except the joint of platform and tower section; Steel pipe tower ladder without guardrail to install steel strand for fasten the safety belt to use. The lower end of the ladder should be in the same plane as the horizontal line outside.

(5) the steel tower shall be provided with a feeder trestle facing the machine room, and from the machine room to the antenna at the top of the tower, the spacing of the feeder trestle shall be 500-1000mm.

(6) the tower should have perfect direct lightning proof and secondary induction lightning , wall ray took the lead after must comply with the design and the relevant specification, the lightning rod and feeder rack shall be set  special lightning current downlead, material is 40 mm x 4 mm of the entire length of galvanized flat steel, respectively, next to tower ground network, and welding qualified with fixed reliable, the tower body, the welding place should have reliable rust corrosion protection measures.

(7) the installation of lightning protection grounding system including lightning rod, lightning current lead down line and grounding network shall comply with the design code for lightning protection and grounding of communication base stations issued by the ministry of information industry, and the four tower feet shall be grounded with the grounding resistance less than 5 ohms.
