A communication tower is a tall structure used to install communication antennas. Its distinctive feature is that the structure is tall and has a relatively small cross-section, and it mainly bears lateral loads. Communications antennas installed on these towers include mobile phone antennas, pager antennas, and various industry communications antennas. With the development of social informatization and the emergence of various new communication technologies, especially the development of cellular mobile communication technology, the construction boom of communication towers is rising in my country.
In mobile phone base station communication towers, due to the requirements for distribution and coverage, one is usually built at a certain distance, with a height generally between 30-60 meters. There are usually 2-3 floors of platforms on the tower, with a spacing of about 5-6 meters between the platforms, and 6-12 communication antennas evenly distributed on the outer edge. These communication towers are located in urban and rural areas and are numerous in number.
For communication towers with mobile antennas, the requirements for structural displacement are relatively low and only need to meet the horizontal displacement limits of tall structures specified in the code. However, if a microwave antenna is installed on the communication tower, it must also meet strong directional process requirements.
