What does Cell Tower mean

What does Cell Tower mean?

Cell towers house electronic communication equipment as well as antennas to support cellular communications in the network. Cell towers are usually elevated structures with antennas, transmitters and receivers on top.

Cell towers are also known as cell towers or cell sites.

Transmitter power rating

signal frequency

Antenna is higher than its surrounding height

Upstream/downstream data rate required by client equipment

Reflecting or absorbing wireless energy from nearby buildings or vegetation

weather

geographic or regulatory factors

Cell towers are grouped by geographic locations with high population density and likely to have a large number of cell phone users. This helps avoid saturating the available capacity, which could otherwise result in a busy signal and unhappy users. Phones are designed to know the nearest cell tower. This is displayed to the user in the form of signal strength, which indicates the strength of the connection between the user's location and the nearest tower providing service. When a user makes a call, the radio signal sent searches for the nearest cell tower. The receiving antenna of the base station tower then picks up the radio signal and begins the process of finding the caller. Once found, the radio signal is sent back to the user, and communication is established by passing the radio signal back and forth.
