A tower structure and a truss structure for transmitting or receiving radio waves, used as a radiator for a radio transmitting antenna or a support for transmitting and receiving antennas. Mainly used in communication, broadcasting, television, radar, navigation, telemetry and remote control. Communication and broadcasting mainly use long wave, medium wave, short wave (communication can also use microwave) to transmit signals; TV uses ultrashort wave and microwave to transmit signals; navigation mainly uses medium wave to transmit signals. The height of the radio tower used for long-wave, medium-wave and short-wave depends on factors such as wavelength (frequency), grounding coefficient, and propagation distance; the height of the radio tower used for ultrashort waves and microwaves depends on the propagation distance. The propagation distance of the ultrashort wave and the microwave is equal to the tangential line of the transmitting antenna along the ground surface up to the distance between the receiving antennas. For flat or slightly hilly terrain, the propagation distance can be calculated as follows: HT is the height of the transmitting antenna; HR is the height of the receiving antenna (m). When the actual distance is greater than the propagation distance obtained by the above formula, a relay tower needs to be provided in the middle. Structure Arrangement The antenna structure used for long-wave, medium-wave, and short-wave is often combined into antenna arrays by several or even dozens of radio towers according to orientation requirements, and horizontal or vertical antennas and nets are suspended on the radio tower. The planar layout of the mast of the long-wave antenna, the strong directional medium-wave antenna and the short-wave antenna is shown in the figure. For ultrashort waves and microwaves, simply place the antenna on a single tower. However, in order to meet the requirements of the propagation distance, a tall tower is often required. Structure The radio tower mainly has three forms: steel mast, steel tower and reinforced concrete tower. The structure and calculation are shown in the structure of 桅 and tower. Steel masts are mostly used for long wave, medium wave, short wave antennas and TV antennas. A 644.28-meter long wave mast in Warsaw, Poland, was the tallest structure in the world in the 1970s. There are more masts in the US TV tower, more than 70 masts above 450 meters, and the highest is 630 meters. Steel towers are also used for supports for various wavelength antennas, and higher steel towers are used as television towers and telecommunication towers. In the 1970s, the world's tallest steel tower was the 380-meter high TV tower in Kiev, the other higher was Japan's Tokyo TV Tower 333 meters high, the US Milwaukee TV Tower was 329 meters high, the French Eiffel Tower was 321 meters high, the Soviet Union Lenin The Gele TV Tower is 316 meters high and the San Francisco TV Tower is 298 meters high. China's taller steel tower has a 210-meter-tall Shanghai TV Tower and a 200-meter-high Guangzhou TV Tower. Reinforced concrete towers are also used as TV towers and telecommunication towers. In the 1970s, the world's tallest reinforced concrete tower was the 553-meter-high Toronto TV Tower in Canada, followed by the 533-meter-high Soviet Moscow TV Tower, in addition to the 365-meter-high German Democratic Republic. East Berlin TV Tower, Frankfurt, 331 meters high, Frankfurt TV Tower. The higher reinforced concrete TV tower in China is the 220-meter-high Wuhan TV Tower. (See color map) In order to save investment and land use, TV towers can be comprehensively utilized. For example, the Tokyo TV Tower serves six television companies, which accommodates the required transmitting equipment and transmitting antennas, and is also used by FM radio stations, telecommunications companies, meteorological departments, tourism, fire departments, news agencies, etc., so that the tower can fully realize its benefits. . TV towers such as Toronto, Moscow, and Wuhan also have facilities such as a tour platform and a revolving restaurant on the tower.
