A Link Is A Line Between Two Nodes

A link is a line between two nodes. Link is divided into physical link and logical link (or data link). The former refers to the actual communication line, which is realized by the connection of equipment network port and transmission medium. The latter refers to the logical network path, implemented by the data link layer standards and protocols in the computer network architecture. If the link layer protocol does not work, the data link cannot be established.
