Classification of aviation obstruction lights
First of all, what is an aviation obstruction light? Many people tend to confuse aviation obstruction lights with navigation beacon lights, thinking that they are the same thing, but they are not. Navigation beacon lights generally refer to indications for the passage of ships on the sea, the Yangtze River and river channels; and aviation obstruction lights are lamps installed on top of tall structures such as high-rise buildings, iron towers, chimneys, etc. to show the outline of structures, and provide safety instructions for night flight aircraft. The use scenarios of these two lamps are different, and the lamp body structure and requirements are also different. They are two different products. In some places, they cannot be confused.
For ordinary citizens, it is more likely to be exposed to aviation obstruction lights. Today we will talk about aviation obstruction lights. Now the height of the residential quarters we live in is getting higher and higher, which involves a safety issue: the planes flying at night in the dark night are prone to accidental collisions. Although this probability is not high, if it happens, the loss will be incalculable. Therefore, the state also mandates that high-rise buildings must be equipped with aviation obstruction lights. So, how high a building must be installed with this light? According to the requirements of civil aviation, buildings over 45m must be equipped with aviation obstruction lights, generally around 15 floors. Aviation obstruction lights, as the name implies, display obstacles on the route of the aircraft, so it is different from general lighting fixtures. It is a flashing signal light, which exists in the form of flashing, usually 20-60 times per minute. According to national requirements, aviation obstruction lights are divided into three categories:
a Low-intensity aviation obstruction lights for building height less than 45m
GZ-122 Low Intensity Aviation Obstruction Light
When the height of the building is less than 45m, the low-intensity aviation obstruction light can be used alone and installed on the contour line of the top of the building.
b Medium-intensity aviation obstruction lights used in building heights of 45m-105m
GZ-155 Medium Intensity Aviation Obstruction Light
When the height of the building is between 45-105m, medium-intensity aviation obstruction lights should be installed, which can be matched with low-intensity. In the vertical direction, the installation distance should be less than 45m, that is, install a circle of medium-intensity aviation obstructions every 45m. Lamp; the installation distance in the horizontal direction can be 45m in reference to the vertical direction.
c High-intensity aviation obstruction lights with building height greater than 105m
GZ-155 High Intensity Aviation Obstruction Light (Xenon Tube)
If you encounter an ultra-high building with a height greater than 105m, you need to install a high-intensity aviation obstruction light. Its light intensity should generally reach more than 20,000 cd, and it can be used with medium-intensity and low-intensity products.
