According to Annex XIV of The International Standards and Recommended Measures for Airports issued by MH/T60121999, there are three categories of aviation obstacle lights: low light intensity aviation obstacle lights, medium light intensity aviation obstacle lights and high light intensity aviation obstacle lights:
1. Fold low light intensity aviation obstacle lights
Low light intensity obstacle lights are mainly applicable to obstacles 45 meters above the surrounding ground and aviation research shows that aviation obstacle lights need to be installed. Low light intensity aviation obstacle light is a constant light, red LED, peak light is stronger than 32.5 CD, generally does not use alone, but must be used with medium light intensity, high light intensity obstacle light. If the building above 45 meters and its facilities are provided with multi-storey middle-light intensity or high-light intensity obstacle lights, low-light intensity obstacle lights can be set between middle-light intensity or high-light intensity obstacle lights.
2. Folding medium-intensity aerial obstacle light
Medium light intensity obstacle lights refer to those used when the obstacle is 45 meters above the surrounding ground to 150 meters below the altitude level. They can be divided into type A medium light intensity aviation obstacle lights and Type B medium light intensity aviation obstacle lights.
Medium light intensity Type A obstacle light is white flash light, effective light intensity ±25% 20000CD -±25% 2000CD, used for obstacles and facilities with strong background light from 105 meters to 150 meters, or used in combination with high light intensity Type B lamp.
Medium light intensity Type B obstacle light is red flash light with effective light intensity of 2000CD ±25%. It is used for obstacles and facilities from above 45 meters to below 105 meters or in combination with medium light intensity Type A aviation obstacle light and high light intensity type A obstacle light.
3. Folding high-intensity aviation obstacle lights
The type A barrier light is white flash, and changes the light intensity in the daytime, dusk or dawn and all-weather at night. The effective light intensity is 200000CD ±25% in the daytime. 20000CD ±25% at dusk or dawn; Night 2000 CD + / - 25%; Mainly used in buildings and facilities over 150 meters, or in conjunction with medium light intensity barrier lamps.
The high-intensity B-type obstacle light is a white flash, and it will flash synchronously in three layers of changing light intensity in the daytime, dusk or dawn and all-weather at night. The effective light intensity is 100000 CD ±25% in the daytime respectively; 20000CD ±25% at dusk or dawn; At night, 2000CD ±25%, mainly used for marking wires, cable pylons and high-voltage power transmission towers.
